Penelope Cruz And Javier Bardem Get Married

Two Hollywood A-listers are officially off the market. Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were married in an intimate ceremony at the beginning of July, a rep confirmed.

Amanda Silverman, Cruz’s rep, said the wedding occurred at a friend’s home in the Bahamas.

According to an e-mail Silverman sent to the Associated Press on Tuesday, the couple was joined by a small group of family members. Cruz’s wedding dress was made by longtime friend and fashion designer John Galliano.

The fellow Spaniards will have plenty of hardware for their marital mantel. Cruz, 36, won a best supporting actress Oscar in 2008 for her work in Vicky Cristina Barcelona (which Bardem also starred in). Bardem, 41, won a best supporting actor Oscar in 2007 for No Country For Old Men.

After a week of hearing these dreadful Mel Gibson tapes, it's nice to know that some relationships do culminate in marriage.
