Monica Beresford-Redman is finally being laid to rest.

The funeral for the 42-year-old Brazilian-born bar and restaurant owner has begun in Inglewood, California almost three months after her brutal murder.

It’s a private solemn affair. Her husband, Bruce Beresford-Redman, a former Survivor producer and suspect in her murder, was not invited.

The small procession of cars was waving the Brazilian flag.

The rose-colored casket sat in front of four chairs. It was covered with the Brazilian flag. Monica’s sisters were there to say their final goodbyes. Carla Burgos was wearing sunglasses and a cream-colored jacket and skirt and Jeane Burgos wore a bright pink scarf.

About 30 family members and friends were dressed in bright colors and white and held each other; linked arm-in-arm as the minister prayed over the coffin and a harp played soothingly in the background.

Monica is survived by two young children: Camila, 5, and Alec, 3.

this is so very sad. Young life cut abruptly. A mother stolen from two young kids. My sincere condolences to her parents, sisters, friends and kids.
