Friends and family of Dennis Hopper gathered in Taos, New Mexico, on Wednesday to say goodbye to the veteran actor and lay him to rest. RadarOnline.com has the photos from the touching memorial.

The service for Hopper, who died on May 29 at age 74 after a long battle with prostate cancer, was held at the historic San Francisco de Asis Church.

His casket was carried by a group of friends and family including his son Henry Lee.

Free of pain, Mr. Hopper, you will be missed. Blessings to his children, extended family and friends. I hope you accomplished what you were seeking to do so hard before your death. Shame on her for not giving you dignity.

Good on him he was Catholic because my nana was buried there too. Catholic history in northern NM. is what the land and people are all about....truly God's country and favored people. RIP Dennis Hopper!
