Jaycee Dugard Wants No Contact With Alleged Bio Dad - 'DNA does not make a family!'

Jaycee Dugard has made it clear to her alleged biological father, Kenneth Slayton, that she wants nothing to do with him.
The reason: When she was kidnapped, he showed no interest or concern. Now in a scathing statement, she’s showing no interest.

Dugard's spokesperson, Nancy Seltzer issued the following statement, “It has come to our attention that Kenneth Slayton is attempting to petition the court to establish paternity and we wish to avoid the terror of a process server for Jaycee Dugard and her mother Terry Probyn. We are therefore affirming that Terry Probyn told Mr. Slayton when she learned she was pregnant that he was the father and again when Jaycee was born. He showed no interest. The police advised him when Jaycee was kidnapped and again he showed no interest. Terry Probyn asked the FBI to arrange a meeting with Mr. Slayton and herself after the kidnapping and the FBI found him uninterested. The Eldorado Sheriff's department interviewed him and he again showed no interest. At no point did Mr. Slayton offer any assistance beyond what was requested of him while Jaycee was missing."

The statement also goes on to say, “Terry Probyn has never denied that Kenneth Slayton was the father. Rather it was Mr. Slayton who showed no interest for the first 29 years of his daughter's life.
It is now Jaycee Dugard's turn to express her feelings and she has no interest. She does not wish to see Mr. Slayton or his family at this time. Jaycee reserves the right to reconsider at a later date. DNA does not make a family!"

Slayton's attorney, Gloria Allred, had no comment.

Good for Jaycee. She is an adult and if she wishes not to meet her bio dad than that's acceptable in my book! Also, its ok for Jaycee to have representation, she does not have the experience to deal with this chaos.

I support her wish to remain out of the spotlight and have structured releases from representatives given to the media and I also support her decision not to establish contact with her biological father.
He was no more than a sperm donor.

She'd be a more sympathetic character if she didn't need a spokesperson and "celebrity lawyer". What's next? A publicist and hiring Gloria Alred? Someone is either manipulating her and trying to make her seek fame or something..

tamiflu did you even read the story HER BIO dad's lawyer is Gloria Alred and she is the BIGGEST media wh*ore out there it is her who is trying to give this media attention, the people in her life are trying to keep media away from her.
