EXCLUSIVE: Heidi Filed For Separation After Spencer Got MTV Check For $675,000

Heidi Montag filed separation papers from her husband Spencer Pratt—just shortly after Spencer received his last check from MTV for $675,000, RadarOnline.com learned exclusively.
A source close to the couple tells RadarOnline.com that Spencer was paid roughly two weeks ago. We’ve learned that’s the last check he’ll get for a while-- unless he can get another job.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Heidi is getting her own reality show and, with Tuesday’s separation filing, it appears she doesn’t want Spencer to be part of that deal.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Spencer goes postal now,” the source told RadarOnline.com. “I mean he just got his last check and the way that kid blows through cash, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s broke by the end of July.”
The source revealed that since moving out of the Pacific Palisades home he shared with Montag, Spencer has been “living in Malibu.”
Pratt’s last paycheck was for The Hills. According to court documents it appears that he and Heidi had a prenuptial agreement, but with now with an official separation, whatever Heidi makes in the future, Spencer can’t touch.

Community property here in CA only comes into play in a DIVORCE upon settlement. A legal separation is nothing. Heidi did this because nobody was believing her and Spencer and they had to make another move for credibility sake.

FAKE move. Filing a separation is extremely easy to remove at the end of the summer. You notice it wasn't a divorce filing... It's all in their plans. New show gets lots of free publicity and in the end of the summer they will reunite.

This is probably just one of their stunts. Oh my gosh, Spencer didn't even work enough for that money. He is so rarely on the show I don't know why the producerrs bother with either one of them. Total nut jobs.

I find it amazing that with his temper, he's not making a scene about her leaving and filing seperation. Just makes you wonder how "real" it all is.

Yep, she waited to file until after that check was cashed so she could claim her half of community property. Betting she filed prior to cashing the one for her new "unreality" show though.

The only way anyone knew Heidi was at the courthouse is because she called every new show in town. You see...Heidi doesn't really exist unless a camera is on her

Radar, Until a network agrees to air the show, Heidi did not "get" her own reality show. No one so far is connected to this so they are probably just filming themselves with camcorders or a hired company. Fake losers!
