Real Housewives of Orange County’s Gretchen Rossi spent the Memorial Day holiday in Palm Springs and eyewitnesses say she got sassy when a fan confused her TV show, RadarOnline.com has learned.

The blonde beauty was having dinner at the new Tex-Mex restaurant Blue Pear, when a fan approached her and said, “Oh My God, A Desperate Housewife.”
Without missing a beat, the Bravo beauty said, “There’s nothing DESPERATE about me. I’m a REAL Housewife!”

Gretchen was sunning in the desert with her boyfriend Slade Smiley just hours after Slade was in court Friday in a battle over child custody payments.

While the couple was laying low most of the weekend, eyewitnesses overheard them talking about seeing some sights in Palm Springs including the Desert Sun Resort, which is described as a “world famous luxury Clothes Free resort”—translation: Nudist resort!

The women on these shows are not housewives..period. A REAL housewife does not have a maid, or a nanny. A REAL housewife does everything herself. A REAL houswife is not employed outside the home either.

True. It sickens me when I see a post where someone thinks they are slamming someone by calling them a housewife. A real housewife is an admirable and very hard job.

A REAL housewife?! What a joke!! There is nothing real about her AND she is NOT a housewife. She is a "house-girlfriend". I like her less and less as the stories come out about her.
