Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale didn't let high winds and high waves keep them from taking their kids to the beach in Malibu Sunday.

The singing couple took Kingston and Zuma (who was named after one of Malibu's most famous beaches) for some quality play time in the sand.

The boys made friends with some neighboring dogs but the rough surf kept them out of the water, and at times seemed to overwhelm little Zuma.
