Jersey Shore hottie Pauly D receives about 25 requests a day to DJ sweet 16 parties and with his busy schedule there’s no way to spin them all.

RadarOnline.com has learned that Pauly D recently had to cancel a gig to cover a very special sweet 16 for Emma McWilliams, where the guests would also be honoring the life of their friend that died from inoperable brain cancer.

“Pauly felt terrible about not  being able to fulfill his commitment,” his agent Michael Schweiger told RadarOnline.com. “He felt even worse when he realized it was a gathering to honor a life.”

Three weeks before the event Tom Weiver of Hopkinton High school, died after a valiant year and a half battle with brain cancer. Tragically, two days before he passed away he received his high school diploma and his acceptance letter to the University of Colorado, his very first choice, something he was thrilled about.

“This party with Pauly D was going to be a huge bonding session for his friends and classmates,” the family throwing the party told RadarOnline.com. “We made a final plea for Pauly D to attend the event. We said ‘we can’t imagine having to tell everyone he can’t come...Please, please see if there is any way he can come.  It will mean so much to these kids and to our small town.’”

Unfortunately, Pauly D was shooting the second season of Jersey Shore in Miami and he could not make the May 1st event.

Schweiger told RadarOnline.com, “He was so upset about missing such an important and poignant event - Pauly is going to do something very special to make up for it though, something special for Emma and for the kids of the town to make it up to them.”
