EXCLUSIVE: Halle Berry & Baby Daddy Split Over Her "Nagging"

As RadarOnline.com was the first to report, Halle Berry and her boyfriend of five years, Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, split a couple of months ago - with Gabriel finding their age difference of nine years a considerable factor in their break-up.

Since their split, reports have been circulating that it was actually Halle that initiated the break, with claims that Gabriel was not able to contribute financially, and that he was living off of Halle and her celebrity.
RadarOnline.com has learned that while the difference in their incomes did play a part, it didn't quite play out as Halle's camp would like us to believe. In fact, it was Gabriel who broke off the relationship, and a lot of it was down to Halle's nagging about Gabriel's earning power and in addition, Gabriel's desire to have another child, something Halle's biological clock was working against.

"Gabriel is by no means poor," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. "He makes a good living as a working, in-demand model. He earns in the region of $700,000 a year, a great income by most people's standards.

"But still considerably less than Halle is able to bring in financially for a movie or one of her endorsement deals. When they first got together it wasn't an issue - they were in the first bloom of love and neither of them gave it a second thought.

"As time went on though Halle started getting dissatisfied with how much Gabriel was earning and started nagging him to contribute more. This really grated on Gabriel - he basically put his career and his acting aspirations on hold when Nahla was born so Halle could concentrate on her career, and now she was berating him over it - it was like he just couldn't win.
"In the end he just got sick of the nagging and how unreasonable he felt she was being and decided enough was enough. In addition, he had started noticing other women and feeling attracted to them, and he's a nice guy - he's not the type that would cheat on someone, especially not the mother of his child, so he knew it was time to bring things to an end."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Gabriel is not happy about how he is being portrayed in the media since their break-up became public and also is not happy about the media furor that is now surrounding his adorable daughter.

The source tells RadarOnline.com that Gabriel is currently weighing up his legal options, and even considering launching a custody battle to win the right to move to Canada with Nahla.

"Gabriel's main concern, and love, has always been Nahla, he will do anything in his power to protect that little girl. If that means moving her to a different country to give her a chance at a normal, healthy upbringing then so be it. This is what happens when 1. you make a baby with a boy, 2. the boy is not your husband. There is no committment to begin with. She should have just got a sperm donor to have a baby. Less complicated.

i never thought he was there for her money. even if he did stop working and watched over the child while she concentrated on her career, isnt that a good thing? to allow one parent to continue to work while the other takes care of the child?

Poor Halle. The woman can never find the right man. I'm sure she is grateful that she has a beautiful daughter with the guy, but it seems he now wants a piece of her through the child.

I could see if he weren't there for his daughter, but he's always in photo's. So, if she wanted money, she should have stayed with her ball players, or singers, and then again, they screwed her too.
