The former America’s Got Talent judge has battled a severe alcohol problem for years and been hospitalized more than five times for binge drinking-related problems within the past five years, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Hasselhoff had been drinking alcohol for three days before being hospitalized Sunday, the source told RadarOnline.com.
The star has continued to deny his drinking problem. "I'm sure he'll try to deny it this time, too," the source told RadarOnline.com. "And that's sad, because it's his daughter who is suffering when she has to take care of him after a bender."
Hasselhoff's ex-wife Pamela recently spent time in jail for a DUI. It was her second DUI and she was found to have violated her probation.
"It's a tough situation for that family," the source said. "The parents have problems and don't get along. There's a lot of denial going on and the kids are suffering because of it."
Hasselhoff's booze benders have become legendary -- and an open secret in Hollywood despite lawyers and publicists regularly covering up for him.

RadarOnline.com reported exclusively that he was hospitalized twice last year after drinking binges.
And London newspapers reported he was hospitalized in England for two days after another drinking spree, following Simon Cowell's 50th birthday party.

His daughter could benifit greatly from Alateen or Al-anon meetings. I do someone in the medical field will suggest it to her. He will not get any better until he is ready and admitts he has a problem.

Also, keep in mind that the story says that the daughter took Hoff to the hospital, not that she called 911.

Keep in mind that the daughter is only 17 and not equipped to handle a severely drunk dad, and that we don't know exactly what she is having to deal with when he is drunk before you judge how she handles it.

I agree on one thing relating to his daughter constantly dialing 911 everytime he's drunk. That is not an emergency. While unfortunate, it's still not something any of us do when we see someone is drunk in our family.

Being an alcoholic is a rough ride. Being a family member of an alcoholic is worse. Drunks don't remember much but the family members DO. I wish he'd acknowledge the problem and get help. He's not stupid. Just do it.

Did A&E cancel his upcoming reality show yet? This guy is so far in denial, it's a joke.

It's hard to put the responsibilty back on who it belongs to but not impossible..people get used to having you to take care of them and hate it when their crutch leaves..and then you feel guilty for letting them down if you disappear.

My parents weren't alcoholics they had different problems but it is hell when you have to look after them and your own needs get pushed to the side..to this day I carry so many people's problems around because I am used to it..
