EXCLUSIVE: Mindy McCready Hospitalized; Mom Denies Overdose

Country singer Mindy McCready has been hospitalized in Florida, RadarOnline.com has learned.
She was taken to Cape Coral Hospital for treatment. Although reports say she may have suffered from a possible drug overdose, her mother Gayle McCready Inge told RadarOnline.com her daughter took some pain medication after she broke her toe, and that they both do NOT think it's an overdose.

She was initially found at her mother's house in North Fort Myers after emergency responders were called to the residence at 10:38 am.
Authorities say she was alert when she was taken to the hospital.
In an exclusive interview, Mindy's mom told us, "She just called us a few minutes ago and she wants to come home."
McCready, who went through Celebrity Rehab and is in close contact with Dr. Drew Pinsky, has been the center of controversy for a few months now. Her sex tape Mindy McCready, Baseball Mistress was recently released against her public objections. And just last week, she was in a Florida court trying to get custody of her 4-year-old son Zander.

The 34-year-old singer, who is called “Marilyn Monroe” by her son, has been allowed to visit him only under the supervision of his mother Gayle. After the hearing, Mindy told RadarOnline.com that she thought her celebrity was getting in the way of justice.

Her own mom is undermining her sobriety. Just read on TMZ, her MOTHER gave her 4 Darvocet for her toe and then phoned paramedics. No doubt to shore up her custody suit. No wonder this girl is messed up.

why is a drug addict given pain meds for a broken toe? freaking drug seeking, she probably hit her toe with a hammer on purpose. She should NEVER have custody of her son.

Certainly is a good thing they didn't return her son to her. She's unstable-for whatever reason-I will give her the benefit of the doubt here-she's unstable and not ready to take care of a 5 year old.
