John Edwards' ex-aide Andrew Young, the man who once claimed he was the father to the child sired by the politician with his mistress Rielle Hunter, told Fox News on Friday that Hunter was lying in her highly publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey during which she said Young had volunteered to publicly proclaim himself as the baby’s father.

"She's lying," Young said of Hunter's accusation, adding that he remembered how Edwards had called him up after having developed “a very elaborate scheme” to cover up the pregnancy.

"I don't think anyone should be surprised [she's lying] given the context of the interview," Young said, adding that he infers that Edwards still has financial ties to Hunter, based on her lavish lifestyle.

Andrew's wife, Cheri Young, said that Hunter has never wanted to take any responsibility for her actions throughout the course of the scandal.

This woman is probably not only a liar but also sounds like a sick stalker. How sad for Elizabeth and the children. The telephone gift tells it all, she had every intent to out herself and break up his marriage.

While these two have very little credibility anymore, the Oprah interview did show what an absolute LOON Rielle is. If that's what Jon Edwards is in to, I'm really glad he isn't our President.

It really got me how proud of herself she seemed to be. She is a very troubled women, and I feel sad for the child that, from my view, she purposely brought into this world to make a name for herself. This poor child will suffer.

Spot on gamom! I couldn't believe what I was hearing come out of that skanks mouth! She's so honest & full of integrity...as if! She blamed everyone but herself. i don't know how Oprah bit her tongue. That poor baby. ..
