Jim Carrey Responds To Twitter Criticism

Funnyman Jim Carrey doesn't think the media has a good sense of humor. He released a statement to RadarOnline.com addressing criticism of his twitter comments about Tiger Woods.

"To anyone whose grievances have chosen me as their cause, I would say first, that I recognize that tendency in myself, but if you knew me well, you'd see that your resentment has been misplaced," he said.

The controversy started shortly after the 48-year-old announced his break-up to Jenny McCarthy on April 6 on twitter, Jim started tweeting like crazy. This is what he wrote about the Tiger Woods scandal on April 9: "No wife is blind enough to miss that much infidelity. Elin had 2 b a willing participant on the ride 4 whatever reason. kids/lifestyle ;^)"

He's been playing damage control since: On April 10, he tweeted "RT I want 2 make it CLEAR that I do not condone infidelity at all, but 2 some degree the responsibilty 4 it is shared by both people! ;^)"
Jim Carrey Says Elin Woods Willing Participant Of Tiger's Cheating
He quickly felt that he had to explain his own morals, later that day he tweeted "In any event, infidelity has never been an issue 4 me. If I tried to keep a secret like that, I would grow a tumor and devil horns!"
After backlash from the press, Carrey sent RadarOnline.com this statement Tuesday evening hoping to put an end to the controversy, "I wish every human being nothing but love and immeasurable happiness. Now, I'm going to re-enter the Twitter stream and see if there is anyone left to offend!"

I really can't see why what he said caused such a response...I agree with what he said about Tiger and Elin having to know what is going on...I feel bad Jenny and Jim broke up...relaionships are so hard..

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, until someone disagrees with it. It's human nature. We all say we want everyone to have rights but then we take them away if those rights don't agree with us. We are a nation of hypocrites.

Jim shouldn't be giving anyone advice. He is psychotic and needs drugs to make through the day. Jennie is too good for this loser.

Wow--harsh. Mental illness is not something people can control. You don't have to agree with what he says but it's pretty low to mock his illness.
