Professional wrestler and actor Bill Goldberg has exclusively told RadarOnline.com that he warned his Celebrity Apprentice co-star Bret Michaels about the dangers of constantly living the ‘Rock and Roll’ lifestyle 24/7 just a day before he suffered a brain hemorrhage.

And, as the 47-year-old rocker remains hospitalized in critical condition, Goldberg hopes that his friend can pull through and make a radical change to his lifestyle.

Goldberg - who was voted off Celebrity Apprentice just last week - told RadarOnline.com: “I just spoke with Bret the day before he got sick and I told him he had to slow down with his lifestyle.

“He was playing with his daughters in Arizona and was in really good spirits when we talked. I just hope that he can pull through from this and it acts as a wake-up call for him.

“He just really wants to please his fans but I told him that he has to slow down and put his family first now as he is not getting any younger.

Bret Michael's Rushed to Hospital With Brain Hemorrhage

“When I say the ‘Rock and Roll lifestyle’ I don’t mean Bret is taking lots of drugs and alcohol it’s just that he is a diabetic and he really has to look after himself by eating right and resting properly too.

“The reality is though he’s a workaholic type of guy always jumping on planes and flying around the country 24/7.

“When we worked on the Celebrity Apprentice the schedule was really grueling and we would work from sun up to sun down most days.

“And Bret worked just as hard as anybody on that show without considering all his other commitments either.

“My own wife told me that I had to slow down and I realized that I must learn to listen to other people because you get so wrapped-up in your work schedule way too easily.

“To be fair Bret did listen to me when I offered my advice and he did take it with open arms but I know it is tough for him to make that change.

Bret Michaels Reveals Inside Scoop About Celebrity Apprentice

“But he is a great guy and first and foremost I hope that he just can make it through this and get better because his family and daughters mean everything to him.”

Meanwhile Bret’s other Celebrity Apprentice co-stars are “devastated” at the news and hoping he will fully recover.  Cyndi Lauper told RadarOnline.com, "Oh my God. It's so terrible, we're all so upset. My prayers are with him. He's a great guy. He's not a partier at all. Who ever is saying that doesn't know Bret at all. He's a really hard worker and he's a diabetic, so how could he be a partier? I just pray he's going to be okay. He's so nice to everyone on set. We're all devastated and waiting on pins and needles to hear if he's going to be okay."

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Michaels remains hospitalized in critical condition Monday under round-the-clock medical care, less than five days after the rocker-turned-reality TV star suddenly fell ill from a brain hemorrhage.

Bret My Prayers are with you always. I love ya and I hope you contuine to get get better soon. You are the best ever just wanted you to know that your very much loved.

many doctors are on websites saying that this type of hemorrage has nothing to do with his lifestyle or being hit in the head at the tony awards. you can have this your whole life and not know it till it bursts. please research b4 comments.

We had a very good friend who had the very same thing happen in her eighth month of pregnancy. They were able to save the baby but the mom layed in a coma for years & sadly slipped away without ever knowing her little girl.

Thank you. Tried to get this across earlier but many still think this had to do with his lifestyle. The truth is as you stated, that is has nothing to do with any life style choices. It can hit anytime without warning.

Don't count on that. Bret is a fighter and without a doubt will fight back to live. I strongly believe he will pull through this as he wants to live for his kids.

This really upsets me that this so called friend would talked about Bret like this. My sister has a friend that has type 1 diabetes sense he was 5 and he does not take care of himself and his really in bad shape and his 30. Bret is 47!

The sad part about this is that Bret takes very good care of himself. He is Type 1 diabetic and has had to learn what that means early in life. This is a tragedy. I hope he will pull through it but it's so serious, I am scared for him and his girls.

People need to stay positive don't put that negativity out there in the universe. Miracles happen all the time and Brett has yet to use up his nine lives. STOP PUTTING NEGATIVE CRAP UP ! Claudia
