Roseanne Barr Blames Mormon Church For Death Of Marie Osmond's Son

Comedian Roseanne Barr is going on a controversial rant about why Marie Osmond's son Michael Bryan (aka Michael Blosil) committed suicide, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Roseanne is known for speaking her mind, but some will find her comments on her blog, Roseanne World, to be extremely insensitive.
"Marie Osmond's poor gay son killed himself, " she wrote even though friends and family have not discussed the 18 year old's sexuality. She blames his death on the Mormon Church. "He had been told," she wrote," how wrong and how sick he was every day of his life by his church and the people in it. Calling that 'depression' is a lie!

"Yet the Osmonds still talk lovingly about their church, saying nothing about it's extremely anti-gay crusade. Marie also has a gay daughter! Hey I want her and all the gay kids in the world to know that they are just fine being gay and that they deserve love and respect instead of insults and rebuke! I have gay people in my family and my circle of friends and I am kicking bigot a** and taking names!"

The blog continues:
"That is how its done in my religion-(I have my own religion that I made up for myself and it is a great religion that actually works and respects facts and not fantasy!)
"Gerald Lund one of the ex church apostles has three gay kids himself.
"Yet, even though the people they say they love the most in all of their public displays and speeches (THEIR KIDS AND FAMILY!!) are gay,- their own children, for crying out loud- these people cannot find the Christian decency and compassion within themselves to stop their hypocritical gay bashing!!

"How sickening. I know so many Mormon kids who were gay and committed suicide, and I just cannot and will not stay quiet in order to not offend bigots anymore. It is all so terribly depressing.
"Marie please don't talk about how your faith in your church has helped you get through this one! Please get some integrity and tell that church of yours that you will leave it and stop giving it ten percent of your money if they don't stop trying to destroy your kids' and all gay people's civil rights and dreams and hopes!!
"G-d is trying to use you for something good and this is your opportunity! Your church is wrong and on the wrong wrong wrong side of things! Get as vocal about that as you are about your diet. G-d bless you too, Marie.
"Take a hard look at the facts now as you use this very sad time for introspection, healing growth and prayer, and become a strong symbol for loving mothers who make no apologies for hatred against their own kids!"
The blog was posted on Roseanne's website Thursday afternoon. A private memorial service for Michael will be held on Monday.

She is the most ignorant person I've ever seen. She does not know Marie Osmond or her children. Roseanne is the face of bigotry. Her rants about anything and everything that she doesn't condone is what bigorty really is. She's a great example of it.

Roseanne you need to shut up! This is none of your business. You have no right to judge anyones life. Suicide is a horrible thing no matter what the cir****stances are.

First of all, to all the "Holy Rollers" that cast judgement upon others, apparently they missed the part that only God can cast judgment. I think her timing is in poor taste, but has valid points

What's happened here is so sad. This young boy probably had a lot of life left in him. A mother should never have to bury her child. But, while some are taking offense over RB's words, she's right on...For mormons that is hard to accept.

And by doomed I mean, there is nothing worse for a person to do spiritually than suicide. Even non-christians who have died and came back have said that this is the case...He, had two strikes. Pray for him.

Well, firstly, they are both wrong..the mormon church was founed by a kook, believes in a false Jesus and has nuts for prophets. Her Kid, being gay, was in danger of eternal judgment...but with this..doomed
