Lindemulder - who has been involved in a bitter custody battle with James over their 5-year-old daughter Sunny -- is now re-married to Jeremy Aikman.
Ironically, James’ current wife Sandra Bullock has been helping to raise Sunny and even wrote a letter to the court stating what a stable person her husband was before the couple was granted custody of the child following Lindemulder’s incarceration on tax evasion charges.
In the letter, Bullock denies Lindemulder’s claim that her quest to gain custody of the girl is rooted in her inability to have children. "We realized that due to the instability in the girl's life, bringing another child into the world at this time would not be in the girl's best interest," she wrote.
Bullock also expressed concerns about the girl's safety, explaining that the girl was often left alone during the day while Lindemulder was "asleep from drug use."

"I am aware that Janine has claimed many times that my desire to have the girl, was because I could not have children of my own," Bullock says, adding, "that couldn't be farther from the truth.”

Bullock also wrote, "I know the term 'stepmother' carries many connotations, one of them being 'glorified babysitter,'" Bullock writes. "My commitment and responsibility to the girl... goes beyond that."
Janine Lindemulder is currently being housed in a federal half-way house in Oregon after previously serving time in a Federal Prison in Victorville, California, for failing to pay some $200,000 in taxes owed to the Inland Revenue Service.

James has battled hard to keep his daughter away from her mother because he feared that his little girl would be introduced to a dangerous world if she lived with her.
In a statement to Orange County Court James said, "Good cause exists for the court to conduct a review to determine if (Sunny) will be safe with (Lindemulder). She should be restrained from allowing the child around pornographers, drug addicts, guns and firearms, felons and other unsafe environments."

But now it’s likely that Lindemulder will be able to use James’ reported affair with tattoo artist and model McGee as an example of his inappropriate behavior when she seeks to gain more access and custody rights for their daughter in the future.
It’s understood that Sunny is currently staying with her father amid reports that Bullock has moved out of the couple’s home in Newport Beach since the scandal involving his alleged affair continues to escalate.
