Dancing Mom Kate Gosselin finished her first day of dance practice at a New York City dance studio, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

The 34 year old mom spent hours rehearsing with Dancing With The Stars pro Tony Dovolani. When she walked out of the studio today, she looked like her hair was still wet from a shower.
While she was in Manhattan, back at home in Wernersville, Pennsylvania, a new wooden floor was being delivered. The mother of 8 children says she’s going to practice in her basement at night so that she can still be a stay-at-home mommy.

Kate will commute to Los Angeles once a week for tapings, but will primarily practice from home.
Dovolani is expected to commute to Pennsylvania to practice with Kate.

Earlier in the week, she told Jimmy Kimmel, “I am gonna win.” And her partner Tony predicted that she’s going to be “a great dancer.”
As RadarOnline.com first reported, her ex-husband Jon said he was "happy" for her and "supportive" of her decision to compete on the reality show.

Kate is one of 11 contestants on the new season of Dancing With The Stars which premieres March 22nd.

What a bunch of bull. She's been away from home forever while Jon is the custodial parent. First LA now NY? Why doesn't she just stop mentioning the stay-at-home mom stuff. That is what I dislike about her; she doesn't walk the talk.

It non sense for someone to wish a mom of 8 to fail ..kate tring to take care of her children since JON unemployed,and living off other people...OH! have anyone tried to go to Sage website???

i am also glad my mom was into me and not herself growing up, poor kids. can't wait to see her fall.

either your mom did a really lousy job of teaching you about being kind or you were doing something else while she was teaching...like thinking about yourself.

I am sure her kids will be thrilled with her dancing and her hair extensions and her work (NOT) I thank God for my mother who was into me and not herself.

I'm more than sure the kids don't have to worry about a roof over their heads, food in their mouths, decent clothing, medical insurance, dental care, and anything else that they may need, dad supplies nothing but occasional visits
