RadarOnline.com can exclusively report that Canadian born comedian Martin Short checked into a hospital on Thursday.

Short was spotted carrying several bags, heading to the eighth floor of Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles around 10am on Thursday morning.

It had been reported that Short was slated to open the Oscars this Sunday, performing a musical number with Neil Patrick Harris. Harris shot down the report though, "I will not be performing a duet with Martin Short to open the Oscars," he tweeted. "Misinformation, I'm afraid. Should I maybe pull a Kanye, mid-show?"

Martin is NOT gay. He has been happily married to his wife for almost 30 years and has 3 grown children (daughter Elizabeth born in 1983, son Oliver born in 1986, and son Henry born in 1990).
