Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack has been invited to the 82nd Annual Academy Awards and will be attending, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

The awards show has typically featured a video montage celebrating the lives of film actors that have tragically passed away.

“The Oscars have invited me and I will attend,” Monjack told RadarOnline.com. “I do not know what they are planning. Since I was invited, I’m assuming something will be done involving Brittany.”
Along with Brittany, the film industry lost some valuable names in 2009 including Farrah Fawcett, Patrick Swayze, Natasha Richardson, Ed McMahon and Bea Arthur to name a few.

I find it so disrespectful that people clap for some folks and not others. I wish the academy would use canned applause for all the actors/industry figures, etc.
