Screen legend Dennis Hopper made a courageous appearance at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony Friday.

With his long-time pal Jack Nicholson there to cheer him on, Hopper brought tears to the eyes of hundreds of fans who came out to see the Easy Rider star. Hopper is suffering from prostate cancer and is also in the midst of a nasty divorce.

An extremely frail-looking Hopper received his award while seated in a chair brought out to make him more comfortable. His children and actor Vigo Mortensen were also present.

Dennis Hopper is one of my favorite movie stars along with Robert Mitchum and Jack Nicholson. He was gorgeous as a navy sailor in quest of a mermaid. Can't think of the movie. He was in so many of the best movies EVER

He's been in so much that I have enjoyed over the years - was so glad he was in one of my fav movies - True Romance. That movie still kicks ass!

YAY! So glad he got his star and made it to the ceremony. He got his ouchies from the paps and said they need to be more aware so people don't get hurt and everyone applauded.
