AUDIO: Boy Calls 911 After Gunmen Threaten Parents - "Bring Cops... And Soldiers!"

Kids say the darndest things -- even in times of distress.
A 7-year-old Norwalk, California boy is being lauded as a hero Wednesday, RadarOnline.com has learned, after showing his bravery in a 911 call that was recorded as his parents were held at gunpoint by three robbers.
The terrified boy made the call as he hid in a bathroom with his 6-year-old sister.
The child thought his parents were going to be killed and (mistakenly) believed they had been shot.
"Can you come really fast? please! please! ... they have guns!" the boy told the operator. "They [shot] my mom and dad ... there's some guy who's going to kill my mom and dad ... bring cops -- a lot of them! -- and soldiers, too!"
At that point, the robbers broke into the bathroom and the boy told them he had called 911, police said. The trio of robbers then fled the scene without taking anything or hurting anyone.
"If not for the brave and educated actions of the 7-year-old boy, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Capt. Pat Maxwell, "this might have ended tragically."
The robbers are still at large, police said.

The brave, cute little boy is being shown on TV news for the hero is, what a great kid and story. Hope they catch the perps who did this to this family. I hope our soldiers overseas see this, they will get a kick out of it.

You can hear the distress in the operator's voice....they do amazing jobs everyday. I couldn't handle it. I am happy to hear that our policemen and soldiers are still regaled as heroes in the eyes of a child.

I'm amazed at the resilience and the presence of mind of children like this little boy, he took his sister and the phone into the bathroom and called 911. If I was his age, I would have hid under the blankets.

Bless his little heart, kids sometimes have to be the adults in a household and he should be proud of protecting his sister.

This 911 tape breaks my heart. I hope and pray these children remain safe. And, I hope they are being cared for by loving parents that are not involved in drugs.
