At the 25th Film Independent Spirit Awards on Friday night, stars sauntered down the blue carpet in downtown Los Angeles, veering away from the award show’s traditionally laid-back style thanks to its move from the beach to the city. RadarOnline.com weighs in on the night's fashion hits and misses.

While some stars looked glam and gorgeous in their cocktail attire, others took their independent fashions a little too far! Vera Farmiga radiated in a richly red, gorgeous strapless, while Emmy Rossum opted for a bright pink number, designed by one of Angelina Jolie’s favorite Parisians, Gerard Darel. Olivia Wilde took Bohochic to a new level, gorgeously gowned in a strapless Ralph Lauren paisley number, while Amy Ryan flopped hard in a Prada Spring 2010 dress of a million clashing colors.

Johnny Weir looked like he was styled by Adam Lambert. However, it was stylist Rachel Zoe who picked out his Michael Jackson-esque Viktor & Rolf threads, which included “meggings” (the men’s version of leggings), a ruffled blouse and an embellished tuxedo-style jacket.
