Tom Hanks Super-Sizes His Hollywood Lifestyle

He may drive a Prius but when it comes to his living quarters, Tom Hanks has decided to super-size it. He and his actress/wife Rita Wilson are trading up from their cramped 7,000 sq. ft. house to an ultra-contemporary 14,500 sq. ft. Pacific Palisades mansion

The voice of Woody in the blockbuster Toy Story movies, Hanks bought the estate from producing couple Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.

At $26 million, the four bedroom, five bath home is also the highest-price sale in Los Angeles County so far in 2010, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Hanks is executive producer, along with good pal Steven Spielberg, of the upcoming 10-part miniseries, The Pacific, premiering March 14 on HBO.

Ridiculous. Hollywood is all about having more more more, for some it never appears they are content, they need more, bigger, better, and it still does not fill their emptiness of what is really void in their lives. IMO.

I like Tom Hank but we all know the Prius is just for image. I hate when celebs try to BS us to be PC! How many other vehicles does he own? How many limos do they take to award shows? Whats his carbon footprint now with the new estate?

I was thinking the same thing. For 4,500 sq. ft. the rooms must be enormous.

Make that 14,500 sq.ft. The bedrooms must be the size of the average home. Who really needs that much space, seriously.

I would think that is ridiculously large. Sure would hate to have to be the one cleaning it.
