Ray is being held on a $5 million bond and is awaiting transfer to the Camp Verde Detention Center.

"I, too, want to know what happened that caused this horrible tragedy," Ray said.

Ray charged $9,000 for the five-day retreat. Dubbed the "Spiritual Warrior," the experience was rigorous: people were expected to fast for 36 hours and were crammed into a 415-square foot, sauna-like hut.

Vulnerable troubled people turn to this occult practicing crap searching for their betterment and to find guidance out of their private hell. The Guru's make millions, look at Deepak Chopra and his crap he promotes!

Oprah has misguided so many people to follow this" occult new age crap" through her own cult following and misguided belief system. I cannot wait until she leaves TV for good! I hate what she promotes and the lives she misguides.

You can fast for months without a problem ( as long as you have water). but in a sauna situation I would have thought you'd get nauseas and vomit and get out before dying.

I vastly prefered Phil Donahue to Oprah. Donahue would have never personally vouched for this New Age snake oil like Oprah did. She hadn't voted for 20 years when she promoted Obama either.

I agree with you, Smitty. The people that attended this particular seminar were not too smart to begin with. Easily led to their demise.

Never have I liked Oprah. She's not what she seems. She has promoted people like Dr. Phil who is REALLY a nasty man. The man in this article knew he was putting people at risk. He gambled with their lives and LOST.
