With a lauded Grammy duet with Elton John behind her and two Grammy awards under her belt, Lady Gaga commemorated the fantastic start to the new year with some new body art.

On Tuesday afternoon, she posted a picture on her Twitter page of the tattoo she got the night before.

"Look what i did last night. little monsters forever, on the arm that holds my mic," she wrote. Placed right above the inside of her left arm on the bottom of her bicep are the words "Little Monsters" written in ornate cursive script.
The words are a nod to her fans, who she has dubbed "little monsters."
“We won big tonight little monsters, I am so proud to make music 4 you,” she wrote on her Twitter page after the big show.

It is German and translates to:
'In the deepest hour of the night, confess to yourself that you would die if you were forbidden to write. And look deep into your heart where it spreads its roots, the answer, and ask yourself, must I write?'"
