Nicole Richie & Joel Madden Confirm Engagement! See The Ring!

Finally ending the speculation whether they will tie the knot- or even whether they have tied the knot already- Joel Madden and Nicole Richie publicly acknowledged their engagement.

"Yep. i'm engaged. Very happy. Yeah we've been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same," Madden wrote on his Twitter.
The web was abuzz after Richie let David Letterman in on the secret during a stop on The Late Show with David Letterman on Monday. Nicole’s appearance on Letterman will air this Friday, February 19th.

Madden shot back at rumor mongers, proudly trumping the layer of secrecy their loved ones have helped them uphold.

The couple, who have two children together, has been together since December 2006.

Congratulations to Nicole & Joel!! How wonderful!! He is a young man from Canada. I am so glad she finally found someone to make her happy!!! I wish for them a long & happy marriage!! It's a good foundation for a family!!
