Michael Blosil loved fashion and his mother Marie Osmond supported his passion. At the time of his suicide Friday, Michael was studying for a degree in Apparel Manufacturing with his mother dreaming they might one day work together.

"Marie was totally behind Michael," a source close to the singer tells RadarOnline.com. "She was helping him any way she should with his fashion ambitions."
Michael was a student at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. The premiere fashion school on the West Coast, it was the setting for Season 6 of Project Runway. The Los Angeles campus is not far from the apartment building from which Michael leapt to his death.

But before that tragic turn, Marie had thought Michael might one day work for one of her companies, the source adds. "She has her lines of jewelry, handbags and other accessories, all of which are successful. She never pushed Michael to work with her but if he'd wanted to get involved with the manufacturing side of fashion business, the door was open to him."
An autopsy on Michael is scheduled for Sunday in Los Angeles. It is expected Michael's remains will be returned to Utah where the entire Osmond family will gather for his funeral.

PhillipP, you're certainly no Christian. The death of a child is a horrible thing. It is especially sad when it is due to a suicide. This young man had fought depression for years. May he RIP.

No pit is so deep that Jesus won't be there with you if you ask for him to come into your life. The devil will throw dirt in our faces to get our eyes off God ..like the wind you can't see but it is there. Have faith. God will not fail you ever.

What does it matter if he was a budding fashionista? He was a hurting human being and they come in all walks of life. Behind the fame, money, career, the looks is a human being and there are a lot of special people who feel hopless..

Can life be that hard to face if you can throw yourself out your apartment window? Face life head on and you will find it is a lot less scarier than harming yourself. Be strong and throw the junk out of your life. You CAN do it.

This is so sad. So sorry that the boy gave up his fight to live. Please, if anyone is out there tonight who feels hopeless, don't give up. There's therapy and medicine and people out there who can help you. Don't end up like this.
