Lindsay Lohan continues to court controversy. The actress recently posed as Jesus Christ for the cover of French fashion magazine Purple's Spring Summer 2010 issue.

In the shot taken by Gucci photographer Terry Richardson, the Mean Girls star is pictured draped in a plunging white robe, wearing a crown of thorns with her arms stretched out in a crucifix-like position.
She is following in her father Michael's biblical footsteps- he dressed as Joseph in a Times Square nativity scene a couple of years ago.

Lohan, 23, has a well-documented passion for fashion, working as the as artistic director for designer Emmanuel Ungaro last year.
