Kellan Lutz Shows His Softer Side

Beneath his rippling muscles and playboy smile, Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz has a heart of gold- especially when it comes to his animal friends.

The actor recently posed with his rescued mixed-breed dog Kola for PETA's "Adopt, Don't Buy" campaign.
"I love mutts!" gushed Lutz. "If anything, I think mutts stay the healthiest."

He also addressed the current overpopulation of dogs and cats in animal shelters, asking that people do the responsible thing by getting their pets
treated.
"There are surprisingly so many animals, so many animals in these animal shelters," he said. "It's sad, and knowing that they get euthanized and there's a lot you can do to spay or neuter your pets so that doesn't happen."

I'm so glad someone is promoting animal adoption vs. "buying" one (especially from a pet store which means they are puppy mill dogs). We still have way too many dogs coming from puppy mills.
