As RadarOnline.com previously reported camp Tiger have announced that the golf ace will be making a statement to the world's press Friday morning.

But it looks like there could be a few empty seats when Tiger Woods takes to the stage. On Thursday the Golf Writers  Association of America announced that they plan to boycott the media event and will not be sending any writers to cover.

In a statement Vartan Kupelian, president of the association said, "This is a major story of international scope. To limit the ability of journalists to attend, listen, see and question Woods goes against the grain of everything we believe in."

Sorry Tiger but this is the best present for us golf-hating, real sports-loving people out there. Golf can now return to being the sport of the flabbly old man and young, preppy douchebags!

Tiger's statement took a lot of courage to go on TV to apologize, and defend his wife and open up his soul. GIVE HIM A BREAK NOW, he has a lot to deal with already, support his efforts to change. He is a broken man right now. EMPATHIZE!

it's obvious the journalists are just upset that they are not able to ask questions and get their story. they have a sense of entitlement this is a joke. Tiger owes none of us an explanation

WTF, how does his personal life affect his professional life? If he can still play the game of golf and do it well then why are they boycotting? I mean isn't this stuff a bit overblown already? I am so tired of him.
