“It is with great sorrow to hear about the final outcome of the search for my old friend Andrew,” Kirk said about the 41 year old whose body was found in Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Stars Tweet In Memory of Andrew Koenig

“I hope everyone will be sensitive to the Koenigs and give the family some private time to reflect and to grieve the loss of their beloved son,” he said about Andrew’s parents Star Trek Star Walter Koenig and his wife Judy.  “At a time like this, we all are reminded of the briefness of life and the importance of being ready for our eternal destination.  My prayers will continue to be with Andrew’s family.”

Andrew had been missing since Valentine’s Day. He had moved out of his Venice apartment and moved to Vancouver. Walter had asked the media and the public to help in the search of his son. And on Thursday night that search came to a tragic end.

He hadnt spoken to Andrew in yrs (as reported) I wouldnt call him a friend he was just a former co-worker. And maybe the other Growin Pain stars are trying to respect the Family by expressin their sorrow privately to the family & not in the media

I find it odd that no one from Growing Pains, aside from Cameron came forward during the time Andrew was missing. May not agree with all his Christian beliefs, but I do commend him for speaking out for his friend.
