RadarOnline.com has exclusively obtained the 911 call made by the motorist who came across the wreckage following the car accident that claimed the life of former Boston Legal star Justin Mentell.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Mentell died in Iowa County, Wisconsin Monday, after his Jeep plunged down an embankment and smashed into two trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 911 call begins when the motorist tells the operator he just came upon an accident "out in the country" around "Highway 39 and inaudible Road.

"I just came upon it; it looks like it’s been here a while," the motorist told the 911 operator, "looks like there's one dead," before confirming to the operator the incident appears to be a car crash.

The caller then goes back to retrieve a number for identification purposes, and is disconnected from the call; the 911 operator speaks with another operator about the incident, and tries to get the caller back on the line, until confirming local officials are en route to the accident scene.

AUDIO: Brittany Murphy Mother's Dramatic 911 Call

On Tuesday, Iowa County Sheriff's Dept. Sgt. Daniel Carey told RadarOnline.com exclusively that Mentell's mother believes the actor may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

“We don’t believe that alcohol was a factor in the incident; there was no evidence of that here," Carey said. “It is possible that Mr. Mentell fell asleep at the wheel, as his mother told us that he liked to take long drives on his own and the area he crashed was pretty secluded ... there was some snow lying on the surrounding areas, but the road conditions were clear and dry, so, they would not have been a contributing factor either."
