Chynna Phillips has checked into rehab, her good friend Owen Elliot has confirmed to RadarOnline.com.

“I won’t comment on the reasons why she’s there, but I love her and she has my undying love, support and confidentiality,” Elliot said. Elliot is the daughter of the late Mama Cass Elliot of the Mamas and the Papas and is a childhood friend of Chynna’s.

Chynna checked herself in over the weekend for “anxiety” her rep said. She is the half-sister of Mackenzie Phillips, who released a book last year detailing her rape by and sexually abusive relationship with her father “Papa” John Phillips.

I would imagine that the shame brought on the family now will result in financial losses all in the family will bear now. Maybe she bit the hand that fed them.

I used to enjoy the Mama's and the Papa's music so much but I will never listen to it anymore.. I just threw a CD away because it just disgusts me to hear it and think of the horrible things now revealed.

I agree..we have all been victims of some sort and you try to deal with things and of course get councelling and support but don't put other innocent people through a life time of public hell. This will never end now.

I'd be having anxiety issues too if all the family dirty laundry was aired so thouroughly on TV and in books...
