BREAKING NEWS: Marie Osmond's Son Commits Suicide

Marie Osmond's son Michael Blosil has committed suicide, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.  Michael Blosil jumped to his death from his Los Angeles apartment building Friday night.

Michael,18, battled depression much of his life and left a suicide note..

"Michael suffered from drug addiction and was in and out of rehab in the past," a close friend of the singer told RadarOnline.com.  "Marie was always trying to help him find his way."

Entertainment Tonight was first to report the story and obtained this exclusive statement from Marie: "My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time," Marie’s brother Donnie issued a statement asking that fans "please pray for my sister and her family."

Marie revealed on Larry King Live in 2007 that Michael had been undergoing rehab. A family friend confirmed that it was for drugs.

Michael was adopted and one of Marie’s eight children.  In a 2007 interview, Donny Osmond revealed that Michael had problems that were ongoing. “Marie has been dealing with this for a very long time,” Donnie said about Michael’s issues. “Unfortunately, he got into the wrong crowd."

Michael's suicide came just days after Andrew Koenig's body was found in Vancouver.  The son of Star Trek actor Walter Koenig, Andrew also was said to be suffering from severe depression when he tragically took his own life.
