After a rousing, star-studded rendition of his 1995 eco-friendly track “Earth Song,” Michael Jackson got a special tribute from the two people who were among those dearest to him: eldest son Prince and daughter Paris.

Accepting their father’s lifetime achievement award, Prince and Paris walked hand in hand as they lead some of their cousins onstage. The two children wore matching suits with red bands on their arms in a nod to their famous father.
“Thank you. We are proud to be here to accept this award on behalf of our father Michael Jackson,” Prince began. “First of all, we would like to thank God for watching over us for these past seven months, and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support.”
After taking a second to compose himself, he continued:
“We would also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him. Our father was always concerned about the planet and humanity. Through all his hard work and dedication, he has helped through many charities and donated to all of them. Through all of his songs, his message was simple. Love.”

As he spoke, the industry’s biggest names like Beyonce, Rihanna and the Jonas Brothers watched in appreciative awe of the poised youngsters.
“We will continue to spread his message and help the world. Thank you. We love you daddy,” Prince concluded before stepping back to put his sister center stage.
“Daddy was supposed to be here,” Paris added. “Daddy was gonna perfom this year…thank you. We love you, daddy.”

So I guess if you're running an awards show, all you have to do to get the ratings is give MJ an award so his kids show up. He'd have hated his kids being used this way.

Hey Edgenet-
Ever hear of innocent until PROVEN guilty? He was acquitted! You are guilty. Guilty of being less than intelligent or mature enough to realize what that means. I find you remarkably digusting.

Their biological parentage is NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. Move on to your own difficulties in life.

No doubt that Michael was an exceptionally good daddy. It shows in these children. Manners, articulate and yet SO YOUNG and so hurt by his death. I have never been so moved by anyone. RIP MJ! I will always love you.

I hate to be a ***** but dang their cousins all look like michael and they do not. I did notice they got to have a make over. I don't think Michael liked short hair. I hope they grow up "normal".

Of course the kids are different than the cousins, their mother was white so they had a 50/50 chance of resembling one parent or the other. We will see what the truth is when these kids are older.

How amazing were they. So poised and mature, they did their father proud. I hope he felt the love.
RIP michael.

Those children have beautiful souls. It's such a tragedy that MJ could not be here to see them grow up. He did a fantastic job with them.

Prince should be an actor. He is very articulate and very handsome. The whole next gen of Jacksons are a handsome group. They need to be entertaining, not the old has-beens Jackson bros.
