VIDEO: Mariah Carey - Precious And Tipsy At Palm Springs Film Festival

Mariah Carey appeared to be feeling no pain as she accepted an award for Best Breakthrough Performance at the 21st annual Palm Springs International Film Festival on Tuesday night.
Carey -- who won the award for her role in the gritty drama Precious -- took to the stage and told the man escorting her "I love you!". (And no, it wasn't hubby Nick Cannon).
Then, at times slurring her words, she told the audience, "I have to say this, and please forgive me cause I'm a little bit... umm..." before pointing offstage to affirm what an audience member responded. "Yeah! (she then laughs) Oh my goodness. I just honestly read this book Push, which is now Precious, a long time ago, cause my friend Rhonda was like if you don't read this book you ain't living, and I cried and I read it again, and I cried and when I met the author Sapphire I was like I can't believe its Sapphire! And then I met Helen Mirren tonight and I was so excited, I couldn't believe it - the genius Hellen Mirren!"

You all know that EVERY single one of us (if you drink) has had a embarrassing "tipsy" moment. She wasn't rude or obnoxious . She had fun, looked gorgeous and had one too many glasses of wine - so what.

Thumbs down to the network hosting that show. They should have had the band play and cut away to commercial. We really didn't need to see that.

she didn't say i love you to the guy escorting her. It was obviously someone who she was friends with that presented the award 2 her. Dont u watch your own videos radar? ANyway, it was cute. who cares if she was tipsy.

Most "stars" can't speak unless they are saying their lines or singing their lyrics. Most of them are simply soft-n-da-head.

Hope she watches this and uses it as a learning moment and indulges in some self reflection rather than vodka. Mariah, you're looking trashy there girlfriend.

Celebrities are a joke. She doesn't even have the class or respect to wait until after the awards to drink. It's so ugly when people overindulge. Why did she feel the need to get drunk before the awards?
