Jersey Shore's Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Vinny Guadagino arrived in Los Angeles Tuesday, and photographers snapped reality TV's newest stars smoking like chimneys outside their hotel, after what must-have been a hellish five-hour flight for the kids with no nicotine.

Polizzi, a 20-year-old native of Marlboro, New York, sported a pink jacket, and alternated between drags of her cigarette and talking into her cell phone. Sorrentino, looking the most L.A. of the three, did his best Jon Gosselin impression in a loud Ed Hardy shirt, while Guadagino kept it East Coast real in a white shirt and New York Mets cap.

Despite criticism from Italian-American groups -- and the loss of some key sponsors -- the controversial MTV breakout continues to surge in popularity, with plenty of dust-ups, hook-ups and break-ups fueling each episode.
