It was Rubina Ali's destiny to party it up Sunday, as the young star of Slumdog Millionaire celebrated turning 11 with friends and neighbors in her Mumbai shanty -- but you may be surprised to learn this was her first actual birthday party.

Let us explain: Rubina only learned what her date of birth was when doing paperwork for a passport to travel 2009's Academy Awards.
Ali, who played Latika in the blockbuster film, had another reason to celebrate, as the talented pre-teen is getting ready to move from the filth of the slums to a new apartment via a trust set up by Slumdog director Danny Boyle.
