As Kylie Minogue, Anna Wintour and Dita Von Teese sat poised in the front row of the Spring/Summer 2010 Christian Dior Couture fashion show during Paris Fashion Week, models traipsed down the runway in classic Edwardian fashion. While many designers have taken a break from elaborate and luxurious fashion, due to the economic slip over the past few years, John Galliano refuses to compromise fashion for frugality, designing a collection which looked like it belonged on the bourgeoisie the 19th Century!

Painted white faces covered in gauze, bright red lips, streaky, elaborate updos pulled back into hairnets, tophats, and elaborate gowns suited for royalty dominated the runway, in a show that is sure to influence the direction of the fashion industry.
