Who wouldn’t be thrilled about getting swept away on a helicopter by a handsome man?

On the eve of their first wedding anniversary, Josh Duhamel whisked Fergie via helicopter from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara where they renewed their vows at the exclusive Bacara Resort & Spa. Fergie’s mom Terri Ferguson spoke to RadarOnline.com about the intimate ceremony and revealed how the couple are doing now.

“I have spoken to my daughter since they renewed their vows and she is delighted about the ceremony,” Terri said. After the 15-minute ceremony, the couple enjoyed a romantic dinner at the resort’s upscale eatery Miro. "They had the whole restaurant to themselves and left before the first customers came in."

The couple had hit a rocky patch in November when stripper Nicole Forrester claimed that she had an affair with Duhamel while he was filming Life As We Know It in Atlanta. The superstar couple were wed on January 10, 2009, before hundreds of guests in Malibu.

Despite the public bump in the road, Terri has only hope about what lies in the future for the couple.

“They are in charge of their own lives and I’m sure things will be wonderful. From what I heard, the latest ceremony sounded like paradise to me.”
