Posted on Jan 06, 2010 @ 10:03AM

The heartbreaking news of the untimely death of Johnson and Johnson heiress Casey Johnson did not come as a total surprise to her family who had been gravely concerned about her sad downward spiral. Since her body was discovered at her home in Los Angeles on January 4, the desperate details of a family struggling to help a sick child have emerged.
Casey, 30, struggled with severe mental problems, a source close to her told RadarOnline.com exclusively. Casey was unable to sleep and spent her nights up ordering prescription medication over the internet and trying to find way to sleep. After exhausting herself with late night parties, the troubled heiress would finally crash during the day, sometimes sleeping as much as 16 hours after days of partying and being awake.

Before her daughter was taken away by her mother, Casey would often wake 3-year-old Ava-Monroe up in the middle of the night and play with her, interrupting the toddler's sleep for her own entertainment. Casey was never alone with her daughter, and the family felt that she couldn't handle her by herself.
A source close to Casey told RadarOnline.com exclusively that Casey experimented with cocaine as well.

I thought I read on this site an earlier report that said the coroner found "insignificant" amounts of prescription drugs in the house?

was raised to mever want for anything - even abel to adopt a child because it was what she wanted at that time- then when she got tired of it gave it away. The one i feel sorry for is the little adoped child, not her or her parents

Her mother took the child from her, she didn't give her away. Not that her mother didn't have good reason to worry about the health and safety of the child. She was being raised by nannies mostly, anyway.

How was she ever able to adopt a child? It is sad that there are many people in this world that want to adopt and can't and then you see a very obviously troubled woman and she has no problem. Money talks, I guess.

She adopted Ava in Kazakhstan in 2007 so I'm not sure how there adoption laws are but it seems like all you need is money.
