Brittany Murphy's mom Sharon and her husband Simon Monjack aired their ongoing pain over the actress' tragic death during an interview on CNN'S Larry King Live.

Brittany Through The Years

"You wake up in the morning and it's like a rebirth," Monjack said. "It's -- there's not enough time to -- your dreams, be they good or bad, when you wake up and I reach out to touch or hold my wife and she isn't there."

Brittany Murphy’s Autopsy Concluded, Results Deferred

After Monjack recalled the moment they received the news that Murphy had died, Murphy's mother shared how they knew they had lost her even before that.

"It was just -- you know, you felt her life go out of her."

Monjack, who has come under some fire regarding his influence over Murphy, pointed his finger at the entertainment industry for its alleged negative effect on his wife.

"You want to know what broke Brittany Murphy's heart? Hollywood broke Brittany Murphy's heart."

The interview airs on Wednesday, January 20, on CNN.

Sad, sad, sad all the way around.

Yes, I lost my 25 yo son in 2004 to an impaired driver, and it's the worst thing I've EVER had to deal with. Five years and I'm still SO.... sad for him. My heart goes out to ANYONE who loses a loved one, a child, especially.

I can't imagine the pain you must feel, DeeWA. I'm so sorry you have had to deal with this. It physically hurts me to hear anyone having to suffer such a terrible loss. You must be tough. You survived.
