Brittany Murphy Died From Heart Murmur, Says Mom

Brittany Murphy had a heart murmur, and that's what may have killed her, the actress' mother believes.

The congenital condition was diagnosed when Brittany was a teenager and she always had the best medical care for it, Sharon Murphy said.

"We had it checked out every which way you could imagine," Brittany's husband Simon Monjack told People magazine.

Mom Sharon also insisted that Brittany did not do drugs, rarely drank and was not mentally ill -- all of which had been rumored.

Murphy died in December at age 32. Her official cause of death is still pending.

Yea, and remember that time down in Cabo when we woke up naked on the beach with those three hot dutch tourists and the midget? That wasn't me, it was the heart murmur.

STOP IT WITH THE DRUG USE...Look up the RX: Topamax (topiramate). Also another of Brittany's RXs. It is an antiseizure medication, used for the prevention of migraines and SIGNIFICANT weight loss is a COMMON SIDE EFFECT!!

Thats no true, JYIANjma! You have no idea the state of the heart murmur and if was severe or not. Based on the leaked reports, the medications were used as an alternative to surgery as a more conservative treatment.
