Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Rush To Aid Haitian Quake Victims

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie quickly reacted to the disastrous earthquake in Haiti, publicly pledging their support for the victims of Tuesday's 7.0 tremor.

"We are devastated by the news from Haiti," the superstar couple said in a statement. “We will work closely with our good friend Wyclef Jean to support the humanitarian efforts on the island and help those who have been injured and left without homes and shelter."

Both stars are noted humanitarians for their respective efforts involving Hurricane Katrina relief, the United Nations and other philanthropic causes.
Jean, a native Haitian, issued a statement offering concerned citizens a pair of ways to contribute to the relief efforts. People can help via a $5 donation to his Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund by texting "Yele" to 501501 (the $5 will be charged to your cell phone bill) or by visiting www.Yele.org.

Anyone doing anything to help right now is a good thing... no matter what you may think of them personally, at least they are trying to help and that is commendable.

Wyclef is Haitian and he and his organization can be trusted. 100% is going to help the Haitians. (Yele.org)....they will also need continued ongoing support as they have to rebuild lives and they need spiritual support. My prayers go out to all!

I've never cared for him. Always thought he was a closet weirdo after he dated lewis who was only 16 @ the time. Angie has always been upfront with her oddness lol & I've always liked her for being weird and not giving a crap what HW thinks about it.

just caring people who want to make a difference. Yeah in the media. lots of celebraties give lots of money but they don't need recognition. these two do nothing without the media. NOTHING. both are first class losers!
