'Bloodied' Angelina Jolie Hangs Tough On Salt Set

Angelina Jolie, like most of us, was back to the work grind Monday, only her job is a tad different than anyone else's: the A-lister was a bloody mess while filming the upcoming thriller Salt in New York City, during a scene in which she dangled from a Blackhawk helicopter like a Christmas ornament.

The gorgeous Oscar-winner plays the role of Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent accused of being a Russian spy. Tom Cruise was originally pegged for the lead role, but plans fell through. Producers reworked the storyline when Jolie, and her considerable box office drawing power, agreed to do the movie.

Salt, which also stars Liev Schriber and Zoe Lister Jones, hits theaters July 23.

say what you want about angelina, but you must admit she is a good actor. she can play both a crazed woman(i know i know not too much of a stretch, lol) or an action hero or an secret agent!

i agree she has a weird past, but i think she has grown up and matured and does a lot of good in the world now! she has adopted orphaned, raised awareness of world plight and donated millions$$!

Salt is on the Most Anticipated list of many serious movie blogs so I am eagerly looking forward to it.

She is overated as an actress just as Brad ....her movies gross average amounts of cash

No Way she is over-rated! She has a wide range of acting ability and not like Brad's ex who all she can play is a woman looking for love with the same look and sound!!

brad also is not over-rated! look at the different characters he has played over the years! its quite a wide range rather than one type of character! angelina and brad have both challenged their abilities! yay brad and angelina!!
