The View Apologizes To Tiger Mistress For Hooker Comment

The View is backtracking on comments made on-air calling VIP hostess Rachel Uchital a hooker. After being called out by Uchitel’s lawyer Gloria Allred, the show released a statement to apologize.

“Joy Behar made a play on Ms. Uchitel’s name. This was intended as a joke. We sincerely apologize for the choice of words and for any misimpression the joke may have created,” said Karl T. Nilsson the Executive Publicity Director of The View.
Tiger's Mistress Demands Retraction, Says She's No Hooker!
Behar, on of “The View” hosts, said on air: “You-ka-tell she’s a hooker.”
On Thursday, Allred quickly fought back on behalf of her client (who was the first named mistress of Tiger Woods) and asked for a retraction.

“This statement about Ms. Uchitel is false and defamatory and highly offensive to her. Rachel is very upset by the statement which has been viewed and now read all around the world.” said Allred.
“This statement was very hurtful to Rachel because it’s not true. Even if the host said it in a joking way Rachel is not amused, because she values her reputation and her reputation has been damaged by this statement as it is completely false.”

Oh Please! If she really "valued her reputation" she wouldn't be dating married, famous men!!!!!!! And I would think it would be hard to damage her reputation more than it already has been - all by her own doing!

I quit watching the The View last year because of Joy Behar. Her comments are for a stand up comedy act for adults only, not a show that is suppose to have REAL VIEWS. JOY IS A JERK . I hope Gloria's client sues Joy.

I don't know the woman so obviously I can't comment on what type of person she is but Joy should'nt have said anything even in a jokingly way. How can you even turn a comment like that into a joke? She should be the one appoligizing and no one else!

I agree if she continue's with this type of behavior her new show at night on HLN right after Nancy Grace will come to a halt before it get's off the ground! They will consider her a risk and a liability for any network.

Take "married man" out of the equation and that makes just abut every woman a hooker. We buy meals, take her to the theater, get her drunk, etc all just to get laid.
