With a self imposed hiatus from golf and sponsorships dropping rapidly Tiger Woods is going to have a lot more time on his hands - especially now - with the announcement that Swiss watch maker Tag Heuer has dropped Tiger from their upcoming ad campaign.

On Friday the CEO of the company told the Swiss paper Le Matin, "We recognize Tiger Woods as a great sportsman but we have to take account of the sensitivity of some consumers in relation to recent events."

Maybe there's nothing in the Nike contract for them to use to wiggle out of, and the other company's contracts were more specific.

i can't imagine that there's not a moral clause in the nike contract. nike isn't stupid. apparently having your spokesman proven to be a liar and cheater doesn't bother them. speaks volumes about their character.

maybe he should've tried to advertise with timex. they take a licking and keep on ticking ya know. naaaahhhh, they wouldn't stay with tiger either.
