Tiger Woods Announces Hiatus From Golf, Admits Cheating

Tiger Woods, who has yet to be seen publicly since his accident over Thanksgiving weekend which fully ignited the scandal over his affairs, issued a bombshell statement on his website Friday. The golfer finally admitted in direct language that he had cheated on his wife and also announced that he is taking an "indefinite" hiatus from golf.
He posted the news with his byline under the headline: "Tiger Woods taking hiatus from golf By Tiger Woods"

His comments come in the wake of even more women surfacing to reveal details of their romps and relationships with Woods. Before Friday, he had only made vague reference to his various dalliances, calling them simply "transgressions."
Woods full statement is below:

"I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try.
"I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.

"After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.
"Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period."

When will they learn? Lying doesn't cover up the facts, they will come out. Tiger tried lying, discrediting women for telling the truth, trying to buy their silence and pay his wife for staying 2 more years. He does take the lowest of the low award.

justmyview: Normally I would agree but while the kids are too young to understand now they will someday. What a horrible lesson he has to show them. That it was okay to sleep around while married as long as your not caught. The damage is done.

We all deserve a second chance. You cant turn back time. He will pay for this the rest of his life. Instead of continuing to publicly crucify him why not wish them the best in healing for the sake of their 2 very young children.

If you do not value love there are a million people who will help you destroy it, use you and mock you later for following them. Without love we have nothing..If he worked as hard on his family as he did on his game he wouldn't be in this mess.

As Tiger struggles with a lifestyle gone wrong we can all learn from this..to value the important things in life and not loose your soul in gaining the world. It is a mirage a carrot that can't be caught but a lot of life can be lost in chasing it.

helllll no, he had his own braffle going! cheating is cheating...when I heard of one, i thought "bad tiger", but when more and more came out, i really think he's gross and disgusting. how would he feel if he brought home an std to his wife?

I honestly don't understand the fuss about Tiger Woods. I mean his whole life revolves around being able to play as many different holes as possible.
