It's True! Simon Saying Goodbye To American Idol

Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol.
It was supposed to be a secret, but Simon's brother Tony Cowell spilled it on his podcast "The Cowell Factor."

Tony added: "A press statement is being prepared which will confirm what everybody expected: Simon will leave Idol at the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing the American version of X Factor to U.S. TV in 2011."
X Factor is a hit in the U.K. and Simon hopes to have it on American television by 2011. His contract with Idol is up at the end of 2010.

Simon is on vacation and unavailable for comment. He has been working on building an American TV empire for months and now events have taken a dramatic turn. Jill Hudson, Fox Spokesperson, said the network has no comment.

Paula Abdul will be replaced by Ellen DeGeneres in the upcoming season, but most experts agree there's no replacing Simon, whose candor, wit and biting sarcasm have been the crucial ingredient in pushing the show into a ratings super hit.

He makes the convey!!!! Withal, everything he touches turns to gold, so I'm trustworthy that the X-Factor gift be a big hit here also.

They really screwed Paula over and Simon knows without their chemistry there's nothing there to watch. I can't believe they thought that snotty egotistical seacrest deserved 40m and paula like 2m. The show is due to be over.

Idol will suck but hey maybe this X factor will be fun and just maybeeeeeee pleaseeeee Simon please hire Paula!!!!!!!!!!!!! Idol was stupid for getting rid of her!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simon is trying to bring the X-Factor to the USA in 2011. It's similar to Idol, but way better imho. Guess he'll be putting his energy into the new show. Idol is definitely finished with him going. He was the show for me.

Guess Paula did right by leaving when she did-better to go out on top then go untill the show gets canceled, then it would make you feel like poop
