Ryan O'Neal visits his son, Redmond O'Neal, weekly at his son's residential in patient rehab program at Impact in Pasadena, California.
Judge Issues Redmond O'Neal Stern Warning
A source close to Ryan tells RadarOnline.com exclusively, "Redmond and Ryan are working on their relationship. Both of them are working towards a positive and healthy father and son relationship."
The Love Story star has had a troubled relationship with his 24-year-old son, but the pair are spending more time together since the death of Redmond's mother, actress Farrah Fawcett, who passed away in June of cancer.

The insider reveals that Ryan has been a "willing participant in Redmond's recovery and treatment. It's very important to Ryan that Redmond get and stay healthy."
Ryan isn't playing "a huge role" in Redmond's program, the insider also tells RadarOnline.com. "Redmond is thriving at Impact. He is really committed to working the steps and participating in every step of the process. Redmond is doing this in honor of his mother, but more importantly, he is committed to staying sober for himself."

I only hope that Farrah left it in her will that Redmond could not help his dad financially in anyway. She was no dumb blond, she knew that Ryan was only there for money and Thank God she did not give him any.

Thank goodness Holly81 isn't the majority thinker on ROL. What a scarey world this would be if everyone thought the way she did.

Ryan is nothing but toxic, I feel so sorry for Redmond. Why doesn't Ryan try to get close to the other two he so horrible helped screw up. They are still hurting and stinging from their horrible life.

I agree, before Farrah's will was read he never went to see his son, now that he was left out of the will entirely, now he is concerned for his son, GIVE ME A BREAK, he only wants money and nothing more.

ita!!! weird how he didn't have any interest in visiting him at rehab and/or jail while farrah was living. but now that redmond was left her estate and ryan was left out...now he visits.

Sorry to disagree - Ryan hitting on his own daughter at Farrah's funeral! What can HE possible do to help his son??

Hey Radar! Didn't u leave out your report where the judge then gave Redmond kudos for working hard? Give the man credit! Ryan should be visiting his son. Hang in there, Redmond and keep up the great work.

That last report was before Redmond was released from jail, This last one showed improvement but that was also before Ryan started visiting his son every week. I wonder what the next report will be like with his dads influence.
